Welcome to the Course

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all students to the Grade 11 University English course.

The course will be focused on advanced English language studies. Students will be studying various literary forms such as novels, news articles, short stories, poetry, and plays.

Our novel study this year will be William Golding's 'Lord of the Flies.' We will also be studying William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth.'

The coursework will consist of notes, tests, assignments, essays, an Independent Study Unit (ISU) and major projects. All work is expected to be handed in on time. A mark of Zero will be assigned to any assignment that is handed in after the class has recieved their marks for it.

Parents will be contacted on a regular basis to ensure they have an awareness of how their son/daughter is progressing in the course. This website is also a great resource for parents to be updated on what is going on in the English course.

I look forward to a great semester with this class.
